For large-area boards of bamboo desks, large straight board technology is required. When splicing, it is necessary to fully consider the different stress indexes of bamboo green and bamboo yellow, and adopt a criss-cross splicing method to improve the stress performance and tear resistance of the board. At the same time, it is necessary to use environmentally friendly and strong adhesive glue for bonding to ensure the firmness and stability of the splicing. The spliced boards need to be hot-pressed in a hot press to eliminate gaps and bubbles at the splicing and improve the flatness and strength of the boards. During the hot pressing process, parameters such as pressure, temperature and time need to be strictly controlled to ensure the hot pressing effect.
For bamboo boards that need to be bent and formed, arc molds and hydraulic presses can be used for continuous heavy pressure to keep the bamboo boards in the desired shape. During the molding process, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the mold and the stability of the pressure of the hydraulic press to avoid molding errors and damage to the bamboo. The formed bamboo board needs to be shaped to consolidate its shape and stability. The shaping process usually includes natural cooling, stacking, pressing and other steps to ensure that the bamboo board will not deform during subsequent processing and use.
Sealing the surface of the desk is an effective way to prevent bamboo cracking and improve its appearance. Commonly used sealers include varnish, tung oil, wood wax oil, etc. These sealers have good permeability and adhesion, and can effectively protect the surface of bamboo from moisture, stains and scratches. The sealing process needs to be carried out in a dry and well-ventilated environment. First, the surface of the desk needs to be cleaned to remove dust and stains. Then, use a brush or spray gun to evenly apply the sealer on the surface of the desk. When applying, it is necessary to control the amount and uniformity of the application to avoid bubbles and flow. Finally, let the sealer dry and solidify naturally.
In order to maintain the stability and beauty of the bamboo desk, it is necessary to keep the indoor humidity between 40% and 60%. Too dry or too humid environment will cause bamboo to deform and crack. Therefore, in the dry season, you can use a humidifier or place a basin to increase the indoor humidity; in the humid season, you need to use a dehumidifier or open windows for ventilation to reduce the indoor humidity. In daily use, the desk surface needs to be cleaned regularly to remove dust and stains. When cleaning, you can use a soft, clean damp cloth to gently wipe the desk surface; avoid using an overly damp cloth or strong acid or alkaline cleaners to avoid damaging the bamboo surface. At the same time, you need to avoid placing heavy objects directly on the desk to avoid crushing the desktop or causing the legs to deform; when moving the desk, you also need to handle it with care to avoid collisions and scratches.
